The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) released the guidelines for the 23rd National Awards for e-Governance (NAeG) 2026.
These awards honor and promote excellence in the implementation of e-Governance initiatives across India. They are organized annually by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) to recognize and promote excellence in e-Governance initiatives.
Nominations for the National Awards for e-Governance 2026 can be submitted in 7 categories:
- Government Process Re-engineering using technology for Digital Transformation,
- Innovation using AI and other new technologies for Citizen-Centric Services,
- Best e-Government Practices Like Innovation in Cyber Security ,
- District Level Initiatives in e-Governance,
- Grassroots Level Initiatives by Gram Panchayats or similar local bodies for improving Service Delivery,
- Replication and Scaling of Nationally Awarded and Mission-mode e-Governance Projects by States, UTs, or Districts,
- Digital transformation using data analytics on digital platforms by Central Ministries, States, or UTs.
Rewards Includes
- The NAeG Awards 2026 will include a trophy, a certificate, and a reward of ₹10 lakh for each Gold Awardee and ₹5 lakh for each Silver Awardee.
- A total of 16 awards will be given out, which includes 10 Gold Awards and 6 Silver Awards.

Key Features of the 23rd Edition :
- Nominations Open: From 1st September, 2025
- Last Date for Submission: 15th October, 2025
- Eligibility: Consideration is for projects launched between 1st July, 2023 and 30th June, 2025, which must be fully commissioned and operational by 1st August, 2025
