- Top 10: The top 10 institutions remained relatively stable, with Stanford University being a notable riser due to improvements in sustainability and international faculty metrics .
- Overall Movement: Of the 1,501 ranked institutions, 478 moved up, and 573 moved down . There are 112 newly ranked institutions in this edition .
- Country Performance:
- The United States remains the most represented location with 192 institutions, and 11 US institutions in the top 100 improved their ranking .
- India showed impressive performance, with 41% of its institutions improving their ranking, and only 20% moving down .
- Five of Hong Kong’s nine institutions are in the top 100, with four improving their rank .
- All improving institutions in the United Arab Emirates saw a rise of more than five places .
- Notable Movers:
- Sunway University in Malaysia was the most improved institution, climbing 129 positions .
- The University of Chicago broke into the top 20, moving up 8 places to 13th .
- South Korea’s Yonsei University entered the top 50 .
- Adelaide University in Australia, a newly merged institution, was the top performer among new entries, ranking 82nd globally .
- Indian Institutions: IIT Delhi is the top-ranked Indian university at 123rd globally, followed by IIT Bombay at 129th, and IIT Madras at 180th. These are the only three Indian universities in the top 200
