  • India sent a contingent of over 300 student-athletes from more than 60 universities to compete in the Games, which took place from July 16 to 27, 2025. This was India’s largest-ever university contingent at the Games. The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT-DU) contributed the largest university contingent with 40 athletes across seven disciplines.
  • India finished in 20th place in the medal standings, securing a total of 12 medals: two gold, five silver, and five bronze.
  • Medal Winners From India :
    • Archery (Gold): Parneet Kaur and Kushal Dalal (compound mixed team), Sahil Jadhav (men’s compound individual).
    • Archery (Silver): Parneet Kaur (women’s compound individual), Kushal Dalal/Sahil Jadhav/Hritik Sharma (men’s compound team).
    • Athletics (Silver): Ankita Dhyani (women’s 3000m steeplechase), Praveen Chithravel (men’s triple jump), Seema (women’s 5000m).
    • Athletics (Bronze): Men’s 4x100m relay, Women’s 20km team race walk (Sejal Singh, Munita Prajapati, Mansi Negi).
    • Badminton (Bronze): Mixed team event.
    • Tennis (Bronze): Vaishnavi Adkar (women’s singles).
