1) Recently , Ministry of Railways and NTPC has convened a “National Conference on Fly Ash Utilisation and transporatation ” at the NTPC Power management institute which is located in Noida ,UttarPradesh on August 25, 2025. 4) SundarBan tiger Reserve has become the 2nd largest Tiger Reserve of India after extension of Area On August 19, 2025, the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) approved a proposal from the West Bengal government to increase the reserve’s area , An additional 1,044.68 square kilometers were added to the reserve by including the Matla, Raidighi, and Ramganga ranges of the South 24 Parganas district , This expansion moved the Sundarbans from the seventh-largest to the second-largest tiger reserve in India , The Nagarjunsagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve located in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remains the largest tiger reserve in India, with a total area of 3,727.82 square kilometers.

5) Indian Naval ship (INS) Kadmat has Completed a three day port call at Surabaya in Indonesia recently The visit was aimed at strengthening bilateral naval ties and maritime cooperation between India and Indonesia , the crew of INS Kadmatt engaged in various activities with their Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) counterparts including professional interactions and cross-deck visits , The engagements included a combined yoga session and a friendly volleyball match, fostering camaraderie between the two navies..

13) Income tax act 2025 will be effective from 1st Aprail 2026 which is set to replace the Income Tax Act, 1961, recently approved by President Smt Draupadi Murmu ,  The new Act aims to simplify India’s direct tax regime, making it more transparent and user-friendly. The number of sections has been reduced from 819 to 536, and the number of chapters has been cut from 47 to 23 , To improve clarity, the complex legal text of the old law has been replaced with clearer language 39 new tables and 40 new formulas

14) Recently Assam Govt has announced that No new Aadhar card will be issued to any person above 18of age in the state , The move, intended to prevent illegal migrants from acquiring Indian identity documents, will take effect from October 1, 2025 , A special one-month window has been created from September 1 to 30, 2025, for those who still need to apply for their first-time Aadhaar card.

15) IBM and NASA space agency have jointly developed an open source AI model called “Surya” to improve the prediction of space weather, such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections . The AI model is designed to analyze high-resolution solar data and predict how solar activity will affect Earth and space-based technology ,  Surya was trained on nine years of data from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO)..

16) Fortified Rice scheme has been extended till 2028 with govt funding of Rs 17082 crore & will be fully funded by the Central Government, The universal supply of fortified rice will continue under all government welfare schemes, including the Public Distribution System (PDS) and PM POSHAN (formerly Mid-Day Meal Scheme), and will be 100% funded by the central government , The initiative aims to tackle malnutrition, anaemia, and micronutrient deficiencies by supplying rice fortified with Iron, Folic Acid, and Vitamin B12 & By March 2024, fortified rice had already replaced normal rice in all central food safety net programs.
