Ajay Singh Recently Re-elected as the President of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI).
He was first elected to this position in September 2016 and has played a key role in revitalizing Indian boxing, focusing on grassroots development and gaining international recognition for Indian athletes.
Ajay Singh has also served as the Managing Director of SpiceJet Airlines. Under his leadership, India’s rank in global boxing has improved significantly, and Indian boxers have seen notable success in international competitions, including record numbers qualifying for the Olympics.
On August 21, 2025, Ajay Singh was re-elected as BFI President for a third consecutive term, defeating Olympian Jaslal Pradhan by 40-26 votes. His new term comes after a series of legal disputes and delayed elections, with ongoing judicial review of the polling process.
Ajay Singh also serves as Vice President of the International Boxing Association (IBA). He has experience as a sports administrator, entrepreneur, and advisor to several major government initiatives in India.
