The Asian Surfing Championships 2025 took place from August 3 to August 12, 2025, at the beaches of Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu, India.
This was the first time India hosted this prestigious continental surfing event. It was organized by the Surfing Federation of India along with the Tamil Nadu Surfing Association. The championship also served as the last qualification event for the upcoming Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan

- Fourth: Mega Artana (Indonesia) – 9.97 points
Open Women’s Division
- Gold: Anri Matsuno (Japan) – 14.90 points
- Silver: Sumomo Sato (Japan) – 13.70 points
- Bronze: Isabel Higgs (Thailand) – 11.76 points
Junior Divisions:
1) Under-18 Boys: Gold to Kanoa Heejae (South Korea) – 14.33 point
2) Under-18 Girls: Gold to Siqi Yang (China) – 14.50 point
The Mahabalipuram point break offered challenging waves praised by both athletes and organizers.
