Malta will host the 8th edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG) in late 2027. This marks a significant milestone for Malta and the event itself, bringing together young athletes from across the Commonwealth for a transformative sports experience.

- Held at Malta and the Gozo Islands, using existing world-class facilities.
- Approximately 1,150 athletes aged 14–18 from 74 nations and territories.
