- It followed Operation Mahadev, in which three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack were eliminated. In total, in the preceding 100 days, security forces eliminated 12 high-profile terrorists, including six Pakistani nationals.
- Post-operation, security forces secured and searched the area to ensure no additional threats remained.
- The operation is part of a broader, intensified anti-terror strategy in Jammu & Kashmir in mid-2025, following a spike in infiltration and attacks.
