Objective of Palna Scheme :
1) it provide quality childcare facilities through Anganwadi cum creches , also enable women participation in the work force
Targeted Beneficiary :
1) It include all working Mothers without any discrimination , but mainly focus on Urban Areas where family Based childcare supports is limited ..
Financial Mechanism of Palna Scheme :
- it is a central sponsored scheme which means state also has contribution
- fund sharing pattern under National Creche Scheme is given below
- state (60 :30 :10 ) means central (60%) ,state & UT (30%), NGOs/VOs (10%) has share division
- north eastern & Himalayan states has share ration (80:10:10 )
- union territories (90 :0:10)
Feature of Palna Scheme :
- it has target 17k creches ,yet total 5222 creches approved so far , implemented through Aaganbadi centers
- It is part of the Samarthya sub component of Mission Shakti
- it subsumes the National Creche Scheme (NCS)..
- it focus on Integrated Anganvadi and creche facilities ..
- Standards Operating procedure (SOP ) released for administration and monitoring ..
- Childcare services like Daycare / Supplementary nutrition / Early childhood education / Health checkup is included
