Funding Mechanism of PMAJAY :
It is a centrally sponsored scheme , it cost norms for construction or expansion of hostels like north eastern region get 3.50 lakh rupees per inmates / northern Himalayan regions get 3.25 lakh per inmates / Gangetic plains region & lower Himalaya region receive 3.0 lakh rupees per inmates ..It is 100% central assistance for hostels but remember earlier it was shared with state ..
