- US companies accounted for half of the global arms revenues, earning $317 billion in 2023 .
- Nine Chinese companies in the top 100 recorded a total revenue of $103 billion in 2023 .
- Indian Arms Companies:
- Three Indian companies are among the top 100 global arms producers: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd .
- The combined revenue of these Indian companies rose by 5.8% to $6.74 billion in 2023 .
- Regional Trends: Growth in arms revenue was observed in all regions, with particularly sharp increases in Russia and the Middle East (West Asia) .

- India’s Arms Exports: India exports to over 100 nations, with the top three destinations for defense exports in 2023-24 being the USA, France, and Armenia . Key items in India’s defense exports include BrahMos missiles, Dornier-228 aircraft, subsidiary aircraft parts, software and electronic equipment, and artillery guns .
